A: Create effective and efficient public transportation for the city and join the ACC tax district.
Q: What is one policy change you’d push to make our city more resilient?
A: We need to work within our budget, plan for lower taxes, not higher. Plan for growth and manage it well. Always have our eye on the big picture cost of living. Look at how water + tax + other fees impact. We have low control over property taxes, but building medium housing will make that more manageable.
Q: What is one policy change you’d push to make our city more resilient?
A: Focusing on higher density and mixed-use development in order to ensure that tax revenue supports the long-term infrastructure maintenance costs
Q: What is one policy change you’d push to make our city more resilient?
A: We need to act with intent, purpose, and speed to encourage commercial and residential density for resiliency. We need to pass stronger policy and guidance to developers around their contributions to install new and existing infrastructure to shift tax burden from homeowners to developers.
Q: What is one policy change you’d push to make our city more resilient?
A: The city council needs to be more transparent and tell the people the benefit, the cost, and find out what the people think. The people deserve a voice and to know what and why council is doing something. The goal is to be proactive and let people know what’s going on. When something comes up the data and research needs to be given to the people and they can decide.
